Things to Bring:
Amanda Ling is a yoga teacher, singing bowl practitioner and a musician/ DJ.
Acquainted with yoga as a fitness regime since 2007, Amanda realised over time that the yogic practice brought about greater transformation from within.
Amanda advocates the practice of yoga to empower others to live to their fullest. She creates and ensures a safe, nurturing and sustainable practice environment through the grounded approach of facilitating a mind-body connection yogic practice in her classes.
She seeks to share the healing and therapeutic wonders of a yoga practice together with the ancient art of sound therapy through tibetan singing bowls.
This powerful combination serves to promote and integrate the body's natural healing abilities in restoring itself to harmony.
Jean Reiki is a DJ, Sound Curator and Producer whose compositions and remixes had been featured on various local and international platforms such as Nick Luscombe's Late Junction playlist on BBC Radio 3, The Shiso Room on FutureMusicFM, Copenhagen’s The Lake radio, Stateside's Gizmodo, San Jose Museum of Art, and the Singaporean film trailer “Trash Heaven”.
Always exploring new terrain, she has collaborated with instrumentalists for live showcases and recently co-founded Singapore Community Radio, an internet station which hosts local and international music and creative culture. Under the alias MIND OF THE COSMOS, her work has appeared in a virtual reality installation at Archifest 2016. Her most recent projects include sound art performances in Stockholm and Berlin such as “Binaural X-perience”, which explores the application of acoustics in healthcare and therapy.
